Standard Cake for Intimate Weddings

F_T_B--You're right, that is all intimates get to pick from. (My intimate is this December.) We have to pay for an upgraded custom cake if we want anything else. I was going to spend the extra 200+ bucks, but now, after seeing these cakes, I think I will just stick with the package deal.

The cakes are all darling, and I am not sure it would be worth it for us to upgrade since there are so few of us. We aren't real big sweets people, anyway, and we wanted to keep it simple. I think I will go with marble cake and white chocolate or raspberry mousse filling.

I'm glad we stuck with the package. I didn't see the point in a larger cake and spending more money. I loved everything being simple and intimate! It was way too much cake as it was!! It was a beautiful cake and just perfect for us! Everyone there loved it and thought it was the best cake they'd ever had!

I was just wondering if you could have a different cake flavour and filling on the top to the bottom, and would that be extra cost to the standard intimate package? It's just that all the flavours sound soooooo delicious, it would be nice to have 2 cake flavours and 2 fillings instead of just 1 of each!

Also, I've heard peanut butter filling mentioned but not seen that on the intimate list - would that be extra cost too?

I know for the intimate package you can only choose what kinda of cake and mousse you want from their list. I don't know if they'd do it not. You'd have to ask and if they do, I'm sure they'll charge you more for it. I know Disney will charge you extra for anything that's not standard on their list.

It is not (and was not for our vow renewal) on the intimate filling list. I simply asked our coordinator if we could get it and she checked with Rosie and was told YES, we could have it. There was no extra charge for it either!

Can I ask what filling that is and also did you bring your own topper or did you ask disney for an upgrade?

Not the greatest close-up of the cake, but it's all I have on my computer.

It was pound cake w/Raspberry filling, and we bought the topper at a gift shop earlier in the week. We had a Lenox Cinderella topper, but thought it was too heavy and fragile to make the trip down to Florida.

What did you think of the pound cake? MY DF dislikes "fluffy" cake, like angel food, and he likes the denser cake. (One of his favorite things is bread pudding--I am not a fan---) So anywho, I was thinking of doing the pound cake.

Thanks! As for the pound cake - we really liked it. This is one of the things I let DH pick, and he did a good job! Since we just had an intimate wedding, there was tons of cake left over, so we ate it for breakfast throughout the week.
