Standard BWV at 7 mos out?

Anyone have any idea of the chances of securing a Standard BWV studio at 7 mos out in mid-September?

I highly suggest booking your home resort at 11 months and then try switching/waitlisting at 7 mo. At least you wouldn't be shut out if you didn't get it.

Except for the relevant holdiay times, September, January thru mid-February and May are the months that you are most likely to be successful in getting standard view units at 7 months.

In general I would say it is possible, but it is seldom likely. Unless you are a BWV owner and book at the 11 month window, you cannot count on getting either a standard view or a guaranteed Boardwalk view.

But people do get lucky. Hope you do, too.

I was able to book a one bedroom Boardwalk view at 7 months out for this coming April. The standard, preferred, and boardwalk views were all availble for the dates that we wanted (April 15-22).

I think your chances for that time are very good and if all days are not available, I think your waitlist chances are even better. Good luck!

This is excellent advice and this is exactly what I have done in the past.

That said, I got a 1 br standard at BW in August 2005 off of the waitlist, about 6 weeks out. September is traditionally one of the slowest times so I would bet your chances are very good for that time.

I just finished calling day by day for early May for a BWV/standard and 3 days there was nothing left and that was calling at exactly 9:00AM. I've since gotten one day, but am waitlisted for 2 days already. Had I not called day by day, I would've been lower on the waitlist. So at least 3 days the first week of May were already sold out before the 7 month window opened. (I have a backup ressie in place in case I don't get my waitlist). I own points for BWV too, but was using my SSR bank points for this ressie. I will use my BWV points when I make my Oct. 07 ressie next month....figured that one would be harder to get.
