Stalking DISers.... continue here

Thank you! I'm a huge lurker and finally got the courage to ask to join.

My name is Linda. I am a SAHM to 2 kiddos..Courtney is 6 and Collin is 2.

I love Disney, can't get enough of it. My brother drives the monorail, so he shares my appreciation for the mouse. :goodvibes

Did ya'll see CourtneyandRyan had their baby? I saw it on another thread!

Welcome Linda.... sounds like you have your hands full at home.... I am Wendy... I have two children Maggie (age 18) and Daniel (age 15) and a wonderful husband Tim.... who doesn't like Disney but goes because the rest of us do.... we live just north of Syracuse NY where I am a realtor and a substitute teacher... Tim works for the American Red Cross and is retired military.... Maggie is graduating from high school in a couple of months and will be off to college next year:sad2: Daniel is busy in just about every sport you can imagine... they are both wonderful kids and I feel very fortunate.... we are frequent Disney visitors... although now with Maggie going off to college that may stop (she is really my partner in crime....)... I love to plan Disney trips... if not for myself then for others....

HELLOOOOOOOO!

Any room here for an estranged stalker? I never knew a new thread had started until Wendy told me today. Everyone doing well?

Well hey Kari. About time you got over here. J/k and yes there is room for an estranged stalker. I'm doing just fine, just stressed.

Hi everyone. I've been away for a while too. Hope everyone is well. We leave in 8 weeks for our end of May trip and I am so excited!
Renee, so sorry about your niece. That is tragic. I'll be praying for her and all of you.

You know I HAD to come find out what drink you're sipping on now Renee! That beach pic looks heavenly! Mandy... how is school going? Last I heard from you, you were waiting to see if you got accepted to another school.

I am currently planning multiple trips. We are still hoping to take our cruise, but waiting to see how the money works out. It was a tough winter work-wise for me, and Wynn spends almost $250 a week in gas now. :scared1: I am also considering lower cost options in case I can't pull off the Disney cruise... either a 7-night western Caribbean on RCCL, a 3 land/4 sea Disney cruise, or a week in WDW in Oct. One of those choices WILL HAPPEN... just have to see which one comes out ahead in July (when final payment is due!)

I am getting a little depressed with not having a vacation for so long now. Before we started with the big vacations, we would do 3-4 long weekends a year. Waiting 16 months between trips is torture!

I did get accepted. I go May 16th for advisement. My sister took a job at St. Thomas and we're going to be living together for at least 6 months. I have to go to MTSU and I will be doing PR-Recording industry or just PR. I have to get admitted into candidacy and it's hard as heck to get into.

Laura - thanks for the prayers... really need them!

Mandy - that career choice sounds like such fun! good luck with the courses!

Kari - MAI TAIS! :cool1: The beach was gorgeous, but the weather was a bit windy. We were only really able to get in the water the last full day we were there. Didn't matter - it was lovely. I will have to post a picture of the view from our balcony - it was the "city view", not "ocean view", but it was so pretty!

I know what you mean about stretches between vacations getting too long. This year we decided to take multiple trips. I have been like my own personal travel agent. :goodvibes Bob just looks at me when the bills come in and sort of shakes his head, but so far he seems to be enjoying the trips, too. lol :goodvibes We've already been to Manhattan and Ft Lauderdale this year. Memorial Day Weekend we have our annual "Rocking Horse Ranch" trip, Disney in June, Cape May in August. (Pretty soon Bob's going to make me get a JOB to pay for these things. )

We will probably try to visit Jacksonville around the holidays to see our niece. Not sure those plans yet. Depends on how she is feeling and what their immediate family plans are. Keep them all in your prayers, please.

I will be praying for all of them.

Bob is going to decide soon that he can't afford for you to stay home from work... too much time on the computer! The more I look at other peoples' plans, the more I want to go.

Mandy... good luck with school. I know you are excited! When is your trip to WDW? Are you still CR MK view? I am SO jealous! ::yes:: (That's me being green with envy!)

Avery and Tucker tracked out of school starting yesterday, so things are busy at my house right now. It is amazing the difference my own 2 kids make in the noise and rowdiness levels during the day! :sad2:

We're down there from June 13th-22nd, we're doing concierge so if we get a MK view is luck of the draw we requested it though.

WOW Renee I am soooooooooooo jealous... those drinks look yummy....... in just a week I will be able to be sitting by the pool with some yummy beverages of my own!!!!!!

Mandy.... you must be getting so excited about school.... we are still trying to work thru all the scholarship and financial aid stuff her... but Maggie has finally decided on a school so that is good.... its about 45 minutes from home.... further north of us on the lake.... talk about cold winters.... can you say LAKE EFFECT!!!!! anyway... I am off to a band booster meeting... have a great night.....

How great that Maggie picked a school near home! We have already told Dana that she is NOT going away to school. LOL There are plenty of good schools in this area. :goodvibes

Kari - how long are the kids home for? They go to school year round, don't they? So you have different breaks?

They have 3 weeks in April and October, and 4 weeks in Jan and July. This was day 2, so 2.5 weeks to go! ;)

Finally forced myself to sit down and file my taxes today... UGH!! I came out with a tiny refund after all was said and done, but I may be in trouble next year since I won't have preschool to claim. I had hoped to do a little better so I could make a big payment on my cruise. :sad2: Guess I'll have to pay it off the old fashioned way. Of course... not much need for middle-aged, overweight hookers in this area!

I had to read that twice before I "got it"... :lmao: I'm tired today! lol

I'm not sure what we did wrong this year with our withholdings, but we got a larger refund than I expected. It will pay for part of those trips I keep booking....

I'm so excited about school. I have sent my FASFA in but it looks like all I'll get is loans, nothing new there. I'll have pictures of my new place on the 15th. My sister moves in on the 12th but on the 13th I will be having a purty colorful drink, celebrating 21. Then I'm doing CMT Music Awards on the 14th, then seeing Corey Smith at my local college on the 15th.

I'm also dealing with school issues with an online class. No one has heard from our teacher in a week or so.

My concert addiction this year is costing as much as Disney almost.

Renee can give you advice about those colorful drinks! You better slow down on those concerts for awhile chicky. You're supposed to go broke IN WDW, not before you get there.

Renee... go get some sleep. I'm sure you have a lot of trip planning to work on tomorrow! I think you should go cruisin with me in Oct... :rolleyes1 Don't tell Bob it was my idea, though!
