Stalking a reservation

We are going to Disney in August and staying at Saratoga Springs. I’ve waitlisted
a studio at boardwalk. Would you try to walk the reservation? Has anyone done this? We have 3.5 months. What are the chances?

Edit: Oops sorry I meant stalking a reservation. If dates become available, should I grab them to try to make the week or just waitlist. Thanks for all your help

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here but walking is something to be done at 11 months and kind of at 7 months (though it can be blocked by owners). It's booking a reservation before you need it and then adding and dropping days until you get to the date that you really want (blocking others out).

Yes, walking at 3.5 months makes no sense. Waitlisting and stalking the dates are your only options.

Ah, then yes, do that. Both stalk and waitlist. People have reported each working better than the other.
Plan for the worst but hope for the best!

I had the best luck doing both. I booked a small group of days and then added on another day as it popped up. The last day was given to me after a waitlist came through. You want to have only one or two days left to waitlist. If you waitlist 5-6 days then the reservation has to be dropped with that many days to fill your request. It is much easier for them to fill one or two days. I decided on my quest for dates in November I wanted to do a Sunday and Monday together then Saturday by itself. You can have two waitlists at a time. I then I stalked and got the Monday, so canceled the Sun/Mon waitlist and waitlisted Sunday by itself. I think I stalked it and when it came through I only had Saturday to go....it took a few days but came through. They automatically linked them together on one reservation. I still check every few days to make sure I am not dreaming and the waitlist worked....I am weird and OCD.
