Question for you about your car rental from the Long Beach airport thread. We're flying into there also and I just booked a rental with my Costco package but it was a bit more than your price and for some reason mine is through Alamo and it looks like they aren't even on site with the Long Beach airport. Did you book your car rental separately or with Costco in a package? And can you tell me what other Budget coupon you used? THANKS!

HI!!! I booked mine separately. I used the coupon I found in the travel circular at Costco, along with the discount, and it brought the price way down. It doesn't add in the coupon on the website, but when you get your receipt after you turn in the car it will show up then. When we went to DL last October, I saved a ton! We always use budget, and really like it! I hope this makes sense, if you have anymore questions.. just let me know!

When I booked through the website, it gives a place to put the costco discount in on the ressie page, and when you get to where you enter your info is where you put i the coupon.

Ive never had them ask for my card or my coupon, but I am also signed up for fastbreak..I would TOTALLY recommend that! It makes it so easy to get your car! You just show them your ID and they give you the keys to your car! I just trusted that they gave me the discount, and they did! We have rented from budget 5 times in the past year, and never had an issue with not getting the coupon taken off.

Thank you for finding that info for me! Unfortunately prices must have gone up or something because after putting in the Costco code I'm getting $186 plus $42 in taxes and fees. Even with the $20 coupon it would be $208 with tax. Did your price include tax? You got a smokin' deal either way! How long ago did you book it?

p.s. Where in Washington are you? I'm about 30 mi. SE of Seattle.

It did include taxes... how weird, I just booked yesterday! I would check back often... I have seen the prices fluctuate quite frequently. Last year, I saw the prices change 3 times in a week! Sometimes the circular has different coupons then the website. I got the coupon I gave you from the website, check for the circular in the store. I go to the Costco in Tacoma, and the circular is on the big rack with all the brochures...Kinda by the bath room...I live in the Tacoma Lakewood Area! Howdy Neighbor!

Well that is strange that I got such a different price! Maybe I am doing something wrong? On the home page I put in my dates and the code where the BCD box is. Is that what you did? If you have a sec, would you mind trying it and see if you come up with $186 as well? Maybe the difference is because of our dates. I'm going the 24-28 of October, Wed-Sun, flying into Long Beach. I'm totally jealous of your deal!

Yup. I got those same prices... Do you have an entertainment card by chance? I found a free day on there website... That comes out to be $37. off, instead of the 20. Or head to costco and pick up the coupon thing, I am almost positive they have the one day free in there too! I think that might be where I got mine.. Let me do some checking to see if I can find it.

Thanks! I'll try to head into Costco later this week or next week. I wish our Costco was a bit closer. It's about 25 min. away in the opposite direction of where I usually go shopping. The only time I drive that way is for Costco. We're supposed to get one closer, they even have a location picked out, but haven't started groundbreaking yet and it's been a couple years. Thanks again!
