Staking out a Spot for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes/Park Strategies?

We are visiting on a Friday in mid May. How early would you need to arrive in order to get a good seat for the show and Wishes? My granddaughter and I both have knee problems at the moment. They will not be resolved before our trip. I am waiting on the VA/Navy hospital to approve a knee scope for 2 tears in my meniscus. This more than likely won't happen before our trip. My granddaughter has undiagnosed knee pain despite a knee scope and MRI this past year. It bothers her from time to time.

It will be hard to stand up for the entire length of the shows.

This trip will be at a much slower pace with us trying to visit one section of the parks at a time with minimal backtracking. I would love any advice as to how to make this work for us.

We started planning this trip 3 years ago. We had to postpone the trip 3 different times. I finally have everything paid for and my granddaughters are so excited that we are finally going.

Get a FP+ for Wishes. Super good view of the show.

I take it you're not interested in standing or curb sitting with the knee issues. Therefore I don't think the FP+ reservations are going to work for you. It's standing only (or sitting on the ground, which for those of us with knee issues is tantamount to torture.)

I believe there are some areas in Frontierland where there are places to perch, but not certain, and that's for the parade.

For Wishes, what I did for our upcoming trip was to book the dessert party. I understand that I may need to stand at the point the show starts, but I hope that I will have a railing to lean against. And there's a *chance* my table will be up front.
