Stainmaster Carpet

Do you have it? Does it work at well as DH was telling me? nothing soaks into it just beads there? I need to replace my living room carpet. It was here when we bought he place and has not held up well with 4 kids and its only been 5 years.. I do NOT want to replace the carpet with wood (or the like) floors. dh works at lowes part time so we'd get a discount. he is actually the one who told me about it today and I have him getting an estimate while he's working tonight..

We put in the Home Depot line of Stainmaster a little over a year ago. I have to say I do love it. As for whether or not liquids bead up etc I can't really say, we don't allow food of any type in the carpeted areas and so far none of us have spilled a glass of water.
I can tell you the cats have yacked a few times and it cleaned right up!
We don't allow bare feet or street shoes from family members. We always wear socks or slippers.
StainMaster is a patented fiber, not a brand and from all the research I did, yes it is worth the $$ although when we bought the HD store brand, we got really really good carpet for not a ton of money. We were limited to the style and to the color but they had one we actually really liked so it was a win all the way around.
We also upgraded to an 8# pad.
