stain on shirt?

Im so ticked. I found this shirt I loved at a second hand store and bought it. Then I relized theres a brownish stain (still there after washing) on it. Im not sure what the stain is but Ive tried dreft, dishsoap, and baking soda and it hasnt helped. any ideas?

my wife soaks stained shirts (sweat, food, grease or oil (not always on the same shirt)) in oxyclean and water. sometimes it works especially if its not too set in.

I just may put a stain on a shirt and go out and buy diet coke... I love a good experiment and this sounds like fun!!

Diet coke does stain so be careful! I made that mistake once -- never again. If the previous owner put that shirt in the drier, the stain is set. Unless the shirt is white or very light where you can use oxyclean (like 5 scoops in a large bowl -- soak the shirt 4 hours, rinse & repeat) or bleach, you probably won't be able to get the stain out.

If the shirt was line-dried, you may have a chance.

its gotten lighter since I left baking soda on it, so im gessing theres hope~!

Try white distilled vinegar. Leave it on the stain and while it is wet rub the stain with table salt. Let the mix sit on your clothes for a bit. Depending on what the stain in that can help. (Don't worry, your clothes will not smell when they come out.)

Soak it in a really strong OxyClean bath for 4-6 hours, and then dry in the sun! There's no stain that's been able to evade that process for me

Oxy clean in the spray bottle is the best stain remover I've ever used.It even removes set in blood and grease stains for me. You need to spray it on thick though and let sit for 30 min or so. It's cheap too, under $3 a bottle around here.
