Hi All,

I am getting married in Disneyworld this August. I am trying to plan a little get together for about 8 guys. :confused3 We would like to go out in Disneyworld for ease. We are looking for somewhere to have a couple of beers, some food and a laugh. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Lots of folks like Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk - piano/comedy/singalong bar

Kimonos at the Swan has karaoke

There are golf courses, and clubhouse bars alongside them

The ESPN bar & grill at the Boardwalk is more sports-oriented (naturally) if you wanted to catch a preseason football game or something

House of Blues at DTD might be having a concert you'd be interested in that night

A lot of people don't know there is a tequila bar in the Mexico pavillion. There is also a pretty cool lounge/bar at AKV. If you did decide to leave the Orlando Ale House is literally 5 minutes away. I watched SB 43 there and the first game of last season there. The food is good, they have a tone of TV's, and a great beer selection. hmm maybe i'll send my wife and goddaughter to an extra charachter meal and sneak away......:happytv:

No food at Jellyrolls. (This is the only place on property where entry is limited to age 21 and up, except maybe Atlantic Dance, which is not always open.) They serve only drinks and popcorn.

Since Pleasure Island closed, there really aren't any other good nightlife spots. You can try Raglan Road for pub atmosphere, plus it's open later (although not as late as PI used to be open). If you can use cars or taxis for transportation, there is the Rix lounge at CSR.

Like TDC said Raglan Road is a great choice for any occasion, especially late. We've been there many times and I think i've seen one kid in there. We do normally eat here later.

beers around the world. beer and appetizers at every pavillion.

I was going to second the tequila bar in Mexico Have a tasting or a tequila flight and enjoy your day!

I am not sure I'd recommend 'Ohana to a bunch of guys at a stag gathering.

How about Big River Grille and Brewing Works? They brew their own, and my DH can't wait to go try out the beers with his brothers on our next big family trip since we're staying at the BC--within stumbling distance of the restaurant! Guess that the women and kids will have to find a restaurant of our own that night! :)

I have also heard that Rose & Crown's pub is really fun.

I'd suggest the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin area - there are lots of great restaurants and lounges to eat and drink at, all within walking distance. Have dinner somewhere (Shula's is a great idea for a group of guys) and then you can hit the bar at any of bluezoo, Il Mulino, Big River, ESPN Club, etc.

Ever since they changed PI, WDW is sorely lacking in adult entertainment. Wait, that came out wrong. But you know what I mean.

I think your best bets are:

Drinking around the world
Raglan Road
Paradiso 37
Jellyrolls

Thanks to all for the ideas! I will get looking at them! Does anyone have any thoughts on the ESPN bar/ restaurant at the wide world of sports? And does any one know if you can book a table at either ESPN Wide world of sports or at the board walk? Thanks again!:cool2:

ESPN doesn't take reservations, it's walk-in only.

The Board Walk is the name of the entire resort, so I'm not sure what you mean by booking a table at the Board Walk.

We LOVE espn club! You can seriously sit there for hours eating and drinking!! We have done it in the past. . . pitchers of beers, yummy appetizers and great meals. Can't be beat! ESPN gets my vote! IIRC no reservations, but depending on what's going on sports-wise, the wait isn't so bad. And like I said, once you're in, you're in and there's no pressure feeling for you to get out of there!

Whatever you do, don't invite Donald Duck. He doesn't wear pants:eek:

I am not sure I'd recommend 'Ohana to a bunch of guys at a stag gathering.

I think what NALA has been hinting, and I know Ohana is not a Stag place but there are no places at Disney that a group of guys would really like to go for that kind of entertainment, so head to Kissimmee or Orlando but you will have to go to another web page to check on that.

I'm not hinting about stag entertainment - just that 'Ohana is lots of kids playing games, families everywhere and frou-frou drinks (although they will serve beer). Even if a group of guys isn't out for raunchy entertainment and are just looking for a place to get some food and tip a couple beers, 'Ohana isn't that kind of place.
