Not too much today. Decided to go to DTD and have lunch at Earl of Sandwich. I had the club and it was really good. Their sandwiches are served on a big roll so I only ate 1/2 on the bread and took other 1/2 and ate the meat and cheese only. We did some walking around the shops and went to the Bibbidy Bobbidy Botique. To get the full deal it starts off at $175. DD won't be seeing that get up lol. Not from me at least.
We came back and played dodgeball and then swam. We played Bingo too. DD won game 2 and got the connect 4 as her prize. When we returned from DTD I saw that KajunSWTY (Jon Renee) (spelling) was here in the 800 loop. We rode bikes over and met her and her family. Very nice people and got to see first hand the big dually they recently bought that she posted on here lol.
We decided to go to MGM this afternoon. It was also EMH so we thought we'd get a lot of fun in. It was raining when we got there and we ended up soaked. We rode Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster. We tried to find food but every rest. was booked solid. Ended up eating a turkey leg to hold us over til we could find a place to eat. Talk about gross. YUCK. A waste of $15. I could get sick thinking about it lol. So we leave MGM in pouring rain. We were so wet when we got to the truck we were miserable. Got back to FW and of course the rain had stopped. After getting dry we decided to go to TE for some dinner. It's nothing to write home about but it was good and fresh. I paid the bill and walked out and it was pouring again. Rode bikes back in rain soaked again.
The fort really needs the rain though. The foliage looks like weed killer was sprayed on it. I just saw on news 9 that St. Cloud got 5.5" of rain today and Disney got almost 3" and it's still raining hard. Radar had a lot of red. It's been a while since I've walked in rain that hard. I'm hoping the water levels in the creeks come up. It's sad seeing the creeks dried up to the sand.
We're on the 1700 loop. I told DD when we arrived I was going to take whatever site was assigned. Next time I come I'm requesting 800/900 loops. This is a nice loop but there are 4 loops on this 1 road. Everytime we ride bikes there's a lot of traffic over here. I don't have a dog problem but there are a lot of dogs. Big one's and some owners have long leashes and dogs walk in front of you. Our site backs up to the main road and the buses get noisy late at night. We're at the fort though so who cares right. I just have a real personal preference for the 900 loop.
