After staying at Tropical Palms and having a great time with family and going to the old car show at Old Town, we've moved to the fort.

I checked in at 11:00. The site was ready so no problem there. We are in site1715. It was a little tough backing in the site but not bad.

Once we were set up we went to the Magic Kingdom and renewed our seasonal passes. The MK was hot and packed. We got to go on Pirates, Hall of Presidents and Space Mountain. After that I had had enough. Came back to the fort and swam for a while. The pool was also packed. At least the water was cool though. Tonight is EMH at Animal Kingdom so we're off to see what we can do there.

Great your there! Wish it was me:confused3 .
Thanks for the trip report keep them coming:banana:

Glad you are enjoying it.......keep the Fort warm for us...

Have you had anymore rain down there over the last 2 days ?? I am wondering how much rain it will take to get the canals back up to the normal level.

I'm excited to hear about the rest of your trip, how long are you there for ?? I hope you have fun at AK.:)

Wondering..I see you mentioned you had stayed at Tropical Palms..seems they are owned by same company that owns the campground we are seasonal in. (Upstate NY)....how does this resort compare to FW? Their web site doesn't offer to much in the way of information or photos. Since you've stayed there, I just wondered what your impression of the resort is. Is there a reason you choose to stay there before your trip to FW?

Enjoy your trip!;)

Number 1 reason for Tropical Palms was my aunt paid for all 3 nights lol. She found out we had a ressie here and it just happened some extended family does their family reunion at Old Town every year because some live in Jax where we are and some in Ft. Lauderdale so it's a great 1/2 way point. I liked TP to be honest. We didn't spend much time there because we were up at Old Town a lot. The fam had 3 suites at the Suites of Old Town. $75 a night which I thought wasn't bad per room. Old Town was a blast. Lot's for kids to do and we all enjoyed the car show.

We just got back from AK. Packed my friends, packed. We ate dinner at Flame Tree. First time eating there and it was pretty good. We got on Everest in about 20 minutes :cheer2:. I think we're going to mostly do EMH and spend the days at the fort. It's miserable at the parks. When we come back for June 29th - July 9th our seasonal passes will be blocked out so I think we're doing water park annual passes and lots of bike riding and maybe tour some resorts for lunch or just to see them. Well it's time for a glass of wine and maybe go for a bike ride. Not in any specific order lol. More coming tomorrow.

Woohoo, a live trip report! I was wondering what the crowds were like now, we were there a few weeks ago and it wasn't packed at all, but I think almost all of the schools are out now and that's probably why there has been an increase.

Everest in 20 minutes? That sounds like a good deal to me!!! lol

With that short a wait, you can grab a fast pass, get in the standby line and by the time you've ridden your fast pass time is there.

The parks are packed all day during the summer. My kids have learned that it is better to swim or bum around the campground during the day and only hit the park during emh. Last summer the MK emh was on Fri and Sun. We hardly every went on Fri because it was still packed. Sun was the better night for emh at MK. Have fun and enjoy your trip! 10 more days and my camper heads that way!!!

I just saw a new FW map(resort board, smoking sticky)that list WiFi spots at Meadows TP and TE, have you tried these? Are they free??

Glad your having fun! We'll be camping near D.C. next week, I never thought I'd camp anywhere but FW:confused3

Almost all of the WiFi you have to pay for at Disney (not sure about the Wide World of Sports). I'm assuming it would be the same at the Fort. I know the other WiFi they have at the other resorts works very nicely, at least from what I've read.

Below is some pricing info:

Price: $4.99 for the first 60 minutes or $9.95 for 24 contigious hours

Billing: Smart City bills the user via a secure credit card transaction thru the internet connection
