Stack your codes at Disneydirect AGAIN

If you went through ebates to get your 4% they are giving the 4% before disneydirect applied the 3 $10 codes so they are applying the rebate amount on a $30 higher order than what the final cost was

Well I can't figure out what the heck they are trying to charge me! :( The 45.45 & 2.07 extra charge that must have been for the tax on one order has been applied to my card. Now there should be another for 33.00 pending BUT there is a total of 238.35 pending & I don't use this card except when there is a discount deal with using it. ARG!!! The rep said that the 45.45 was done on 8/23 & 8/24. One is still pending. The discounts were 61.05 on the order for 3 costumes & 36.55 but that doesn't add up to the total pending. I can't do anything until the charges either fall off (which the rep seems to think that they will since he saw the same amounts posted twice) or get posted. I asked what I would need to dispute the charges & if the email showing the invoice & shipping confirmation would be enough & he said yes. DD would actually lose more money if everyone has to dispute their charges. Each time a merchant has a dispute filed against them they are charged an amount to process that, not the person filing. I wouldn't open these packages until this is all settled. DD's site hasn't changed my total due for either order either.

BUT there is a total of 238.35 pending

Ok, that's a bit odd....my total pending is very similar to the same amount. Like $253.xx. I have a pending charge for the co-pay to my daughter's ENT, and I stopped at Staples for school supplies. No more than $22 total left to clear.

I put 2 of my Disney orders on this card. One for $44.50 (which they charged me $46.31 for) and $28.66, which must still be in my pending charges because I don't see it listed in my account activity.

I just called my CC company to check on the pending charges from Disney.

Here are the amounts they gave me:

29.53
1.20
41.49
56.12
54.92
30.53

The bolded charges are ones I shouldn't have. Well, I imagine the 1.20 is for adjusted tax, but the other two :confused3

The discounts on my 1st two orders were 51.57 and 33.10. Those amounts are pretty close to the mysterious charges in bold. My CC company rep said that, since the charges are still pending, they could drop off, but I'm not holding my breath. He did say that I would just need to provide them with my email invoices/confirmations to dispute the charges. I guess I'll just wait and see at this point.

This really won't be be good for Disney if they start charging the discounts on peoples CCs. I can't imagine the backlash. It's their programming glitch. They should just cut their losses and fix it so this won't happen again (although I hope they don't :teeth: ).

I haven't looked at the fine print for all of the codes, but since, for the three where you can "pick one", it says that you can only use one, I really think that you should only use one, and you really can't fault Disney for not giving you more than one, glitch or not.

I can't believe we made it all the way to page 11 before someone brought up that! :teeth: You're certainly entitled to your opinion, Sk8Leigh. :sunny:

I didn't get very far with my call to Chase. :confused3

I have an additional charge pending of $30-something, which would be other other order I placed using this card. When I expressed my concern over being mis-charged and would like to go over the pending charges, the CSR kept asking me what exactly I was looking for. I got the impression that she did not want to read over my pending charges for me

I'll be calling back, LOL

agreed.

What I can fault any company for, is allowing me to finish the entire checkout process without a glitch. Send me confirmation of the total price paid, and then charging my card more than the amount I authorized.

This has been an issue at many websites. Most of the time, the companies do a mass-cancel of orders. The stacking of the codes was a glitch in the disneystore site. You can still stack codes today, AFAIK.

Well put, madge. I wouldn't be upset if they cancelled my orders, but they do not have the right to charge me additional amounts without at least contacting me first.

isn't it against the law to do that, or something?

I've done a lot of online shopping over the years and had very few issues. I have every confidence that this issue will be resolved one way or another...

Mine said it was shipped out today. I am so hopping it all okay! I will take it back to the store with the packing slip!

I too checked my disney visa this am and was told by a customer service rep- disney charged me 5 different times. 2x for the discounted price- another for one that was like $2.00 more and 2x charges for $1.00. she said they were only pending so maybe the 4 will fall off :confused3 the other order I did was on my visa debit and only one charge went through. both orders have been shipped so we will see...

Jennifer at Chase was extremely helpful :)

I hope I can explain this right, LOL.

I placed 2 orders at Disneydirect. One was $44.50 and the other was $28.66 I have a charge that has posted to my account for $46.31. There are 6 pending amounts on my account:
$44.50
$1.81
$28.66
$30.47
$1.00
$1.00

Some of the transactions have the same authorization number and all the pending amounts "should" not post to my account. She said that Disneydirect appears to have run everything through twice, with the same authorization numbers. Odd. At any rate, Jennifer advised me to keep checking my account to see what actually posts.

How are y'all able to see your pending amounts?

I have a Disney Visa and can see my posted amounts on 'Account Activity', but didn't know it was possible to view pending charges. :confused3

Thanks for your help!

There should be an category down the row of charges showing Pending charges. You cannot see the individual amounts, just the total. CS can see the different amounts. I am wondering if they put a charge thru the day we placed the order & then again the day they shipped the order out. Both of mine have gone out according to the emails that I received & the site still shows the same totals.

Jennifer at Chase wondered the same thing, since the same authorizations show on 2 different days.

I guess I'm a sucker for stacking. Even with all that is going on with the CC and pending charges. I just coudn't resist this. Look what I got.

That is so cute!!!! :)

The orginal price was 99.00 on clearance for 49.99!! In the end I only paid 15.00 for it! I think I did good. I just hope that they will send it!! :rotfl:

Looking for advice -- I was going to order when this post started, but wanted to check my local disney store first. They are more $$ and they didn't have what I wanted.

So i went to order 2 costumes (free shipping on them) and used the tenoff coupon for $10 off $50. Then I logged in and found that 2 codes were active, the $10 one and the 10% one. I guess from when I was messing around before.

Anyway, do you think I should deactive the 10% off coupon or just go for it and see what happens?

Seems like the ethical thing to do is just use one coupon. I mostly care about getting the costumes!
