Stacie's Journey for Weight Loss and the 1/2 Marathon Jan 09!

Hi Stacie!!!

Great job on all your cross training activities! :thumbsup2 And good luck with your 2.5 miler. I have a feeling it's going to go very well for you...sending you some PD! :goodvibes

Stacie, I am so impressed with your exercise. By the time the Minnie gets here, that medium is gonna be too big! Keep it up girl, you are really making it happen for yourself. Be proud.:)

You're doing a great job, Stacie!!! Keep up the good work and that medium at the Minnie will be YOURS!:cheer2:

Hope you have a great day!:goodvibes

Hey girl!!! Congrats on doing such a kick butt and take names job!!!!! I am very very impressed -- and now you are totally my inspiration! I need lots of motivation -- and i think i found it! LOL Great job.. Can't wait to hang with you in a couple months!

Hi guys!!! So, no exercise for me Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

I did finish off the week with my 4 miler on Sunday. Overall I felt pretty good. It took me 62 minutes though... My last 3 miler was at a 13 min pace. This is over a 15 min pace for the 4 miler. I didn't feel too much slower, but that's what the timer said... Oh, well.

The weekend was good. We had good quality family time with DBIL, SIL, and Newphew. They came over on Saturday and DBIL made a pizza. Yum! Then we played cards. They were back last night (they live next door) for some shrimp alfredo and a few games of pool.

Today I am working in Clayton...yay! Only 20 min drive!!! Then I'm off to the chiro and to they gym for some XT on the bike.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!
Stacie

what a lovely weekend Stacie :)
Hope your week is as good as the weekend :)

Stacie, great job getting that four mile walk in on Sunday. That sounds like a nice weekend you had with family, those are the best kind! You'll be back to a faster four mile pace in the next day or two, maybe you were just tired and needed to slow a bit!

So...I got in 6 miles on the bike last night. It was so pretty outside here, I just couldn't force myself to stay in the gym! It was 70 degrees!!! So, I went home and then enjoyed 30 min of pilates for dummies with my SIL.

The very top of my knee is hurting...It doesn't hurt when I stand or walk...only when I squat. It seems a bit better today than last night. I think I will aquacise tonight and then on Wed instead of running outside, I will take the aquajogger class. I've never done the class before and I'm not sure how it compare w/ the running, but I'd rather take it safe.

We Thursday for Snowshoe, WV. I'm not snow skiing (broke my leg last time I tried! ). I'm just going for the company. We will be traveling all day Thursday and all day on Sunday so no workout those days. I think I will go to the gym there on Friday and hopefully they have an elliptical of some kind and then on Saturday, I'll attempt to do a 4 mile run on the TM. yuk!

All for now, I'll try to check back in before we leave!

Love you guys!
Stacie

Hey stacie,

I've realised i haven't posted on here for ages cos i've been tracking you on our team pages. So sorry your knee's sore- i never really know which is best ice or heat but hopefully it feels better by the time you head off. Eek i can see why you're not up for skiing too :rotfl:

You're doing great and i'm glad the weather is inspiring you to get out on your bike. Don't worry about your pace changing- i think it varies depending on how tiredness etc. Also, how lovely that you can do the yoga with your SIL!

Have a great trip

Have a great time in WV, you are smart to skip skiing, the last thing you need is an injury this close to the Minnie! Have a fun, safe trip. And GREAT job on that six mile bike ride, you got to enjoy the outdoors and workout, nice combo!

Wow...:sunny: 6 miles on the bike outside. WTG!!!! I'm jealous...I need to get outside. I'm beginning to suffer from the winter blues LOL!

Sorry to hear about your knee! Just be gentle with it. AND...try to ice it for 20 minutes after you workout. Could be one of those things that works itself out...but don't push too hard if you have pain in the knee :sad2: .

Wow...I'm heading up to the snowy mountains of VT this weekend. Sounds like we'll be in similar conditions LOL. I do plan to ski...but plan to take it WAY easy. I do not need an injury. Good for you for staying away...your leg injury was so bad last time you tried :(. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding a workout facility :).

Hey stacie --- way to go with the bike!! And 70 degrees?!! I am sooooooo jealous!! It was about 55 here today, and i was ready to break out the capri's! LOL

Hi, sweetie. Great job on getting all the exercise in - you are totally inspiring!

Hope you have a terrific time in WV - please take care of that knee so it doesn't hinder you from training when you come home!

Love ya!

Susan

This past I didn't get my LR in on Sunday, so I'm thinking about trying to do it tonight instead of XT. I know they say if you have to skip it try not to make it up, but i just really feel like I need to at least run some. My next LR will not be until Sunday, so I should still have time to re-coup.

The aquajogger class was a dissapointment. I seriously thought I was going to be jogging in the water, but it was more ab work/leg work, cardio type aquacise just in the deeper end of the pool with the aquajogger belt on.

Skiing was nice. I didn't ski, but did get to the small fitness center they had. I got in some good biking there. I ate like a PIG!!! I've gained 2 lbs. This week I'm getting my head back in the game though. I need less sweets, no more soda and more water! We really have to cut back on our spending so I am going to try to cook at home more and hopefully that will help us eat healthier too.

Thanks everyone for checking in!!!

Stacie
