Anyone here of a stabilizer break on one of the Disney boats? I had some customers come in that were just on the Carnival Fantasy and were crossing with a Disney Boat. He said that the seas were horrible and that Disney lost a stabilizer and the passengers & crew sick everywhere. Flying in extra Doctors to help. He said their Carnival boat was sick too.

Anyone else heard of this?

I too am interested on which boat? We are leaving Saturday on the Western cruise. Thanks

There was a post in the trip review section where the person claimed the stabilizers were not working and the whole ship was sick. The description sound similar.

It probably was the Wonder because the Fantasy is in port the same time as teh Wonder.

The starboard stabilizer on our cruise on the Wonder a little over 2 years ago broke for about 36 hours - we happened to have a few rough seas and the liquid in our cups was at a distinct angle one night for dinner! They got it fixed and fortunately the seas were better the next day!

I think it was this past weekend - the 4th? I figured it would have been on the news or here, but I hadn't seen anything. Thats why I asked figured someone here would have heard something or even been on the boat.

Broke?...as in "broke off"? That would have made the news, especially when you consider how it might have happened. More likely, it just wouldn't deploy from the hull, in which case it would be "broke" but not "broke off". That would just be a mechanical problem and wouldn't make the news!

I don't know if a stabilizer was broken, but the 2/3 Wonder cruise was pretty rough! I'm not prone to motion sickness, but a lot of people were seasick.

The 2/6 Wonder cruise was pretty rough. It was more a matter of the 15 foot seas and high speed of the ship going to Nassau that made it rough going thru the gulf stream more than a stab malfunction.

I don't know anything about the stabilizer situation, but did you go back again, Barb?

How many is that?!

Just curious!

Edited to add: PS- and yes I am jealous- very jealous! :goodvibes
