Stability Ball Questions

Hi All

I have been away from WISH for awhile(and the boards in general until I booked my cruise a couple of months ago). Also planned exercise had moved by the wayside but I've been getting so much exercise at work that i haven't regained much of the weight i lost.

Anyhow, I've started exercising with a stability ball and have a couple of questions.

I'm using a 65cm ball from Giaim and I'm not sure its big enough.

The video I'm using (Fat to Firm Fitness Ball Workout for Dummies) host is able to put her hand nearly flat on the ball as she stands upright. When i stand upright I can just touch the ball with the tip of my fingers.

I'm 5-10 with long legs, so maybe the ball is too small for me?
or is it possible I just haven't inflated it enough? I inflated it until all the dimples were gone and ball feels pretty firm. Any help you can give me would be great. I like the workout and want to get the best possible use out of it.

That sounds like the right size to me for your height. You are just a bit taller than I am (5' 7.5") and that's the size I use as well. I believe that when you sit on it, you should be pretty close to right angles with your hip and knee joints. (did that make sense?!):confused3

I prefer to have mine inflated so that when I sit on it, it has some "give" but doesn't "squish"

Maybe someone else has a bit more expertise? :confused:

i was told at my FC class that the more the ball is inflated, the harder the exercises are. so not quite as pumped-up to start and then increase as you become used to it and stronger. I don't like a squishy ball either, or one that feels like it's about to "POP" :laughing:
