I've read several times in these threads that everyone has to get up so early on the morning of the Magic's day in St. Thomas. Does it have something to do with immigration? Is there some procedure we need go through even if we're not planning on getting off the ship that day? We'll be on the January 8 cruise and I'm planning as many mornings of sleeping in as possible so I'm curious. :cloud9:

Thanks in advance for the information.

As I remember everyone has to go through immigration and if you don't come they start calling out state rooms and if that doesn't work they call out names. They also start making announcements that you will face stiff fines if you do not report. I am Canadian living in the US - I went to one area and DH and DS's went to another - yes it is quite early but painless.

Immigration will begin right at 6:30 am I believe...unfortunately, the night before is the Pirates deck party and fireworks show.

Yes everyone does have to go down to the Walt Disney theatre on Deck 4 for immigration on the St. Thomas morning. The good news for you is that if you are not planning on getting off the ship, you have the latest time to show up - 8:30. Have fun!

Yes everyone must report. Check the Navigator for times........ I just pulled the flyer out , and on our cruise EVERYONE had to report BEFORE 7 am.
But it may vary from cruise to cruise, and you might get a later time like RebeccaLovesDisney did. The first excursions left at 7:30 am when we went, and everyone had to clear immigration before anyone could get off the ship.
It is a bummer because our excursion wasn't until 1 pm, and we've been to St. Thomas before, and had planned on that being a sleep in day.....pretty port, but we managed to go to Coral World, do the Skytram and shop without getting off the ship until 11:30 am.

I thought it was early because we had to be back to the ship early. I was never told that but I guess I just assumed it lol. oh well!!!!
