hello, we have some time to kill before our 11am legendary Kon tiki excursion , was wondering if we could get the skyride done in 90 minutes total? It opens at 9am and our Disney excursion is 11am,

Also, it states that one must be able to climb 40 steps , is this 40 steps in a row or a total of 40 steps spread out over the entire trip? My 80 yr old mom might struggle with 40 in a row

Thank you !

I wouldn't risk it and miss your excursion. There will probably be a line usually is.

Did this back in April of last year. Yes, it's 40 steps in a row from the ticket booth to the loading point Then there are various stair cases at the top to go to and from the various levels they have. As to can you do this in 90 mins, the answer is maybe. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the ship, then a 5-10 min ride to the top, and then another 5-10 mins back down, and another 5-10 mins back to the ship. If you don't hang out at the top very long, yes it's do-able. But, if there are lines, and with a a slow walker in the group, it could take quite a bit longer then the times I've quoted above.

Thanks for quick replies!

I've done this before and started work at 11. So yes you can do it. You just might not want to, as you might just be 'clock watching' the whole time (I was but that's life as a CM).
We got there just after it opened and there were no lines, got straight up to the top, got a drink up there, enjoyed the views, got back down and again didn't have to wait, there were lines when we got back down. However, we could have just got lucky, I don't know what it's normally like, there could well be lines (also I did it when I was, I think, on the wonder, so less people getting off)

I'm trying to recall if the Kon Tiki is inside the secured port area or not. If it is, getting back inside the secure zone could slow you down too.

Yes.

Unless there is a long line & wait you should have no problem with that. It's a 10 minute walk (or probably 10-minute cab ride, including getting a cab) from the ship to Paradise Point. You pay at the window or give your DCL ticket at the window, then walk up the steps to the landing area. You wait a few minutes (assuming there is no crowd) for a gondola to come down (they're on a track & never stop slowly moving), then it's a 7-minute ride up to the top. You can observe at the top for any amount of time you want. There is a restaurant but we ignored it, took some pictures of the view, then were on the gondola headed back down within minutes. The whole experience for us from ship to ship (we walked) took less than an hour. You could definitely do it in 90 minutes if there are no crowds and you don't spend a long time at the top.

Yes, there are 40 continuous steps to get to the landing from the street, but I think there is some kind of back entrance. When we got off the return gondola, a guy was pointing the direction of waiting taxis, which was opposite of the way of the steps to the street. I think they still had to climb some other steps to the taxis but am not sure. I would ask a taxi dispatcher at the port if PP can be taxied to & done without a lot of steps. They've no doubt heard the question before.
