St Thomas Island Tour (ST11)

This tour sounds interesting, but I am a little concerned about getting to the highest point of the mountain top. Are the road steep, winding, narrow without guard rails? Or is it a gradual pleasant ride to the top on good, safe roads?

Mountain Top has a few steep spots but it's definitely not a gradual winding road. Most of the roads are narrow too. The view from Mountain Top is definitely worth it even if it's somewhat of a tourist trap. That's the excursion we are doing for our February Fantasy cruise.

No, you do not need to go to Mountain Top to shop. Your ship most likely will dock at WICO in Havensight and there's a shopping area called Havensight Mall right adjacent to the dock. There is also Yatch Haven Grande within walking distance to Havensight Mall. You can also take a 5 minute taxi ride to downtown Charlotte Amalie, where more shops await.

If your ship docks at Crown Bay marina, then downtown Charlotte Amalie would be your closest shopping destination.

If you are traveling with unvaccinated children, you will need to be on a Disney excursion. If everyone in your party is vaccinated, you can get off the ship on your own.
