hi we are hoping to stay in st petersburg for 2 nights of our stay , my brother just got back and used a coupon from the booklets in the supermarkets and got tradewinds for £61 on the day,this was in june my question is how busy will the end of oct i.e around the 25th i know there are a lot of conferences about then is it safe to wait or should we book ahead

I would book in advance. The gulf area tends to get busier in late fall and winter with people from the north coming down, often for long winter stays. For many gulf coast areas, October starts their "High" season.
