Hi all,

When we go in March, we're arriving on St Patricks day, and will have half a day in the parks to enjoy it.

Have any of you been there for St Patricks day itself before?
Is it any busier than any other weekday in March? It's a Monday....
I know there's a special themed Dreams! that night, but are there any other things (tips and secrets very welcome!) we should keep an eye out for?

Thanks all!

We also arrive on st Patrick's day. Last year they had an Irish band in Billy Bobs in the village on St Patrick's night - I'm hoping that this will be the case this year too! Also, some of the characters in the main parade dress up in special green outfits. I don't remember the parks being overly busy that day either.

You can usually get a special events programme from City Hall on St Patricks Day - the year we went we had Chip n Dale in Irish dance outfits dancing with a group of young Irish dancers on the Castle stage, meet n greets with what I think were supposed to be leprechauns :confused3, a pre-parade featuring Minnie & Mickey dressed in emerald green, a pipe band, and irish dancers, and Minnie and Mickey wore their emerald green outfits for their organised meet n greets too.

Been twice on thst day, now I try to avoid it. People seem to dublicate that dat an crowds were bug. Queues for meet'n'greet were long, preparade with dancers short and not so fun. Did't see the fireworks as those are too late for my kids. Oh, and lots of fun people dressed for that day.

Thanks all. I can see us getting in to the park for 3pm ish so will hopefully see the main parade (and any pre-parade bits) and stay for the special Dreams! show. I'll keep an eye on the weekly schedules leading up to it 1. in case they release the St Patricks day one early and 2. to get an idea on the time of the parade!

Thanks!

And there is normaly a Meet and Greet of Mickey & Minnie dressed in their Irish emerald green outfits. Think it was in Frontierland last year around the Cottonwood Creek Ranch area just by the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue resturant.

Not as busy as youd expect to be fair. There was irish dancing in the pavilion where tarzan used to be. We went and met minnie and mickey whilst the show was on. Best idea we had as once show finished everyone joined the queue for pictures. Also free facepainting for kids. Pre parade of bagpipes, wind band and drums. The fireworks before dreams. OMG find a video on youtube. I still well up watching our video from last year!!
