Hi everyone! Does somebody know if there's going to be something special going on for St. Patrick's Day at DLRP this year? If so, on what date will it be? We are planning to go in March for three days and it would be really bad to miss it!

I've not seen anything about St Patrick's day. Can anyone help ? :)

there is nothing i the brochure about st patricks day, there is a st davids welsh festival celebration between 29th feb and 2nd March.

try this link to Irish site disneylandparis.ie
and click on st patricks day link.... dont know how to copy link!

Hello Aine3, sorry you can't post links as your post count is too low, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction :thumbsup2

Disneyland Paris St. Patrick's Day

My birthday is on St. Patricks Day but I've never managed to be in the park that day, :confused3 will defiantely have to book a trip that coincides one year.

Thanks for the help everyone! Now I know a bit more about what is planned for the event. I'm a bit confused about the exact date, it is not mentioned anywhere on the website! Even though we don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day over here in Germany, I know that it always takes place on March 17th, but this year it seems to be on March 15th?! I've tried to contact DLRP, but they didn't get back to me!

I think they always hold the festival over the weekend so Saturday 15th will probably be the main event with the fireworks. :)
I think the Irish dancing and music in the park and the festival in the village runs over a couple of days though.

This is from an email I received from DLRP the other day:
"On March 17th, the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Resort Paris goes Irish, as the fun and folklore of St Patrick’s Day will meet the wonderful world of Disney with Mickey, Minnie and friends celebrating Irish style. There’ll be the St Patrick’s Day pre-parade down Main Street, USA, complete with a dusting of Disney magic, traditional Celtic music to dance along with and of course a dazzling display of Irish dancing. Be sure to save a few photos for the finale, as Sleeping Beauty Castle becomes a glow of green under dazzling bursts of fireworks."

We were there for it a couple of years ago and it was very enjoyable. There was even a band in the Village when the parks had closed, good atmosphere.

Hope this helps :goodvibes
