You'll probably have to catch a train up the day before. You won't find a train early enough on the morning of your journey from WSM. I doubt parking would be an option really. You'll probably need a train up to Bristol Temple Meads, train from Bristol to London Paddington, then the Circle Line underground from Paddington to St Pancras, and find somewhere close to the station to spend the night. We were tempted to try and get to Waterloo on the morning of our Eurostar to Disney, but coming from Bath we'd have to leave Bath station at about 6am, and have to brave the Tube during rush-hour, so we decided to stay overnight about 5 minutes walk from Waterloo.

thank you that seems to be the best option. we can leave wsm on the thursday evening as early as 6pm when hubby gets in from work.
just having a look now for hotels to stay thank you.

We've never travelled up in the morning either, preferring to stay in London the night before, and now the Eurostar is departing even earlier it is much more *civilised* :cat: to stay in London unless you live within fairly close travelling distance of St Pancras. You'll have gathered I don't like early mornings! :lmao:

Don't know whether you already have (or have considered purchasing) a family railcard ~ we found this saved us £££££ on the train fare.

The other option is to book your train tickets as early as possible (12 weeks in advance), as First Great Western offer what they call 'FirstMinuteFares'. We got our tickets to London from Bath for £9.50 per person each way.

When we lived in Exeter and had to get to Waterloo in time for the Eurostar to DLRP we would get the National Express which left at about 2am and got us there in plenty time for breakfast and then to check in. We'd sleep the whole way.
