St. Nick's Day

So who is getting ready to set their shoes out tomorrow night? My kids are getting so excited. They are currently finishing up coloring the pictures on their letters to Santa. They leave the letters in thier shoe for St. Nick to take. They are too funny we went shopping for new boots today and they want to leave those out instead since they are bigger. You gotta love it. Does anyone else leave a shoe out for St. Nick?

Tomorrow in school, my Kdg. students will each make a wooden shoe out of brown construction paper, decorate it and leave it for St. Nick to fill overnight. They'll be so excited about this!!!!

He is coming to our house tomorrow night, too. They will be at Girl Scouts and I will be out of town, and my neighbor will leave a bag on the porch while they are gone.

You set your shoe in a window and St. Nick fills it with goodies. It goes with St. Nick's story I will look for it. Dec. 6 is his patron saints day.

We go to St. Nick's church here in Hawaii. The Bishop came to visit, and my DD got baptized. We joked that we could hear the water sizzle when it hit her head!

I played the song "Pray for the fish" for her. She laughed. She's actually very good, but likes to think she's this very dark rebellious soul. I play along. She wears long black socks from Hot Topic and I act like I'm impressed with her Gothicness, and all is well.
