St. Maarten Galion Beach Taxi

Has anyone been to Galion beach recently and if so how did you arrange transportation?

You can get a taxi there. Taxis a freely available at the cruise terminal. They have set fares.

I figured that getting there would be easy. I am concerned about the return leg. I didn't know if there were tour companies that offered Le Galion Beach tours that were not listed on Disney's lists.

We ended up going to Orient Bay beach last week instead of Le Galion. The beaches are near each other and Orient Bay beach is much more active than Le Galion. Plenty of taxis were in the parking lots at Orient Bay. However, our taxi driver on the drive out was waiting for us for the drive back. I bet if you want you can make arrangements for the your driver to come pick you up.

Thanks! I am pretty sure we will do the same. We have small kids so the less activity is a good thing for us right now. How much was your taxi fare to/from if I may inquire? Did you pay with euros, dollars, or credit card?

They didn't take credit cards and it was $8 per person each way. I paid with US dollars. I think with small children, Le Galion may be a good choice. We originally planned on going there, but our kids are 16, 14, 11 and I thought the more active beach would be to their liking.

If you are visiting St. Thomas, Megans Bay is perfect for small children. It may be the most beautiful beach I have visited. Enjoy your cruise!
