Are both of these rooms avaliable to Escape brides? if so, anyone know the f&B minimums for a reception starting around 1.30-2pm and also what are they for evening receptions?

If it makes any differance it will be for a monday and in late april, 15-18 people :)

I am an Escape bride who is having cake cutting and a private dining reception in the Whitehall Room. However I think I was lucky in getting it. I booked my Wedding only 4 months before the date and the room happened not to be reserved for anyone else. It could be that Wishes Weddings and other events have first priority on the room. I know another Escape Bride asked about the Whitehall room and was told no, that she could not use the room.

I recommend you ask your DFTW consultant about a private dinning event following your Escape wedding and what rooms are available to you and when. That way you can find out if it is possible and if and what any priority or timeline to reserve might be.

Thank you.
I don't have a consultant yet and won't for a while, im thinking ahead here as wedding isn't for over another year just like to see what options are avaliable & costs

No problem - keep in mind things can change and constantly do as you have a little time until your wedding.

Do you have the Passporters Disney Weddings and Honeymoons? It is very helpful on explaining your options for an Escape wedding. You can download it at:

Oh I completely understand, and I wouldnt even be looking at options yet but as we're from the UK we really need to get an idea of what the wedding costs will be on top of the cost of the trip so we know roughly how much we need to be saving.

Yep I do have the wedding passporter and find it really useful :thumbsup2

Do you mind me asking the F&B minimum you were given for the Whitehall and day of week/time of day you'll be using it?

Just remember that adding a private dining event triggers the $7,500 minimum spend. You probably already know that but I just thought I would mention it:thumbsup2

The time and date really doesn't change anything price-wise, they use the same pricing across the board for Escape events because your package includes everything except a reception. The only thing I can think of is that prices do go up during a holiday like xmas, valentine's day or New Years. And they did run a promotion for morning ceremonies for Wishes brides that gave them a lower minimum expenditure.

Yeah I know, was a bit of a pain at first but now I want to do the MK & Epcot bridal shoot so shouldn't be to difficult to meet this minimum.

I understand as far as the Escape package it doesn't change things prise wise but in the Passporter wedding book it says that receptions at the convention centre rooms F&B minimums depend on time of year, week, day etc

I know a while ago there used to be higher prices for Fri-Sun weddings, but then when last years price updates came out they did away with that completely and had people meet the minimum expenditures instead.

When I was looking at the Whitehall room the F&B minimums were very reasonable. Most convention center ballrooms have reasonable minimums.

I was an Escape bride on 29 April 2010. We used St James for our wedding dinner starting at 6pm. Our F&B minimum was $1500 to use both parts (it splits into A&B) there were 20 of us and we had a roman table setting - it was great and a perfect size for our party

Thanks, was you looking at Whitehall while you were still planning an Escape (I am right in thinking you swapped later to Wishes?) and you wasn't told it isn't an option for Escape weddings?

There are no food and beverage minimums at convention center venues for Wishes weddings.

But there are food and beverage minimums at convention center venues for Escape weddings, and they vary depending on a lot of different factors. I can't put them all in the book because each couple gets a custom quote.

Yes, I was an Escape bride looking at a the Whitehall room. When I switched to a Wishes event it wasn't available for the full 4 hour reception so I had to change venues.
