o.k. i don't think my conscience will allow it, BUT i really want to stay on property at least a couple of nights during our 5 night trip to orlando. We have four children with the youngest being 19 months at would be check-in.. Here is my questions:
1. has anyone ever done this before and did the hotel check real hard
2. since the young one will not need a ticket would he even need a "key" to use FOTL passes anyway?
3. should i feel awful for even trying this? i know there are fire codes but disney will allow our "baby" and they have even smaller rooms

thanks for your suggestions and honest appraisals

Although the rule is probably there because of fire codes and insurance liabilities, I don't see how anyone would know that you have 4 kids in the room.

Isnt there some sort of stipulation since the baby is under 2 in your favor? He would be in a crib right? I thought I read that somewhere. You could call and ask. Its worth a shot. I'll see if I can find the therad that covered this situation before.

I would just do it and not think twice. Nobody will know, nobody will care.

i'm wondering about the FOTL thing....wouldn't the 19 mo. old need a room key w/ his or her name on it to get FOTL?

i went last may w/ an infant & toddler both under 3 & i'm pretty sure that they had her own keys even though they didn't need park tickets and the reason for the keys was for FOTL.

If the little one is going on rides, I am pretty sure it will need a room key to get FOTL. However, there aren't a lot of rides for the little one, so waiting in line for those rides may be okay.

yes, all kids have to have the room key for fotl. it has their names on it.
even the 19 month old.

but, the parents could do the baby swap thing easily.

they don't need a ticket but have to have a key??? mom will not be riding alot anyway, but they actually check a baby for a key?

ok, color me silly, but what could the 19 month old go on? would the waits be all that bad? OR, could you use one of the other childrens cards? Maybe dads? Just a thought. Oh & I would totally do it - honestly I don't think anyone would notice - except perhaps at check in, you would have to send a few family members for a walk, while you check in. :rolleyes1 lol

our youngest last year was 10 months old & she really only went on a few things that we used FOTL for like Shrek & maybe the Carousel in IOA.....everything else didn't require FOTL so i wouldn't worry too much about it.....she spent a lot of time at that age wandering around the play areas & watching shows like Barney & the Animal Planet Live show. She'll likely do much the same this year as a 22 mo. old.

Just got back from a stay at RPH. They printed a key for my 21 month old, but I never once showed it for FOTL access. Also, FYI, this was our second trip since August using an Annual Passholder discount (which I have), but they didn't ask us to show that at check-in either time. I guess they are either just trusting or don't really care! ;)

LOL! I cant imagine that anyone thinks you are making the toddler stay offsite by themselves. :lmao:

WE booked through Entertainment book. They tell us they can not guarantee that we get 2 queen beds. So we are taking along our 4 yr old's blow up bed. If we get a king size bed we will sleep with our son and she will sleep on that bed. I wouldn't worry about it at all!

I thought the onsite hotels didnt accept ENT codes anymore! ??? How did you manage to do this and at which resort ?

That is odd. Not only that you booked using ENT (as someone else mentioned), but that they said you could not guarantee 2 Queen beds. The way the reservation system is set up, you either request queens or a king. Who did you make reservations with? Loews, Universal, or another internet site? Just curious. What rate did you get?

Wow..you are all so friendly here. :thumbsup2
Someone just asked this same question on the dis resorts board...it was horrible. I posted to say I thought it was ok for the OP to do this....I got called a liar a cheat and a thief :scared:
Iam so glad Iam posting here for a bit...as I've just booked the HRH for sept. :cool1:

I went through ENT via Mousesavers. They had the listing for RPH. I was able to book 2 queen beds, BUT the site said there are no guarantees on the bedding and the non smoking vs smoking rooms. I just checked and you can still book a room with the RPH through Entertainment. I got a Royal Club room for $261 per night. I should clarify...I bought an Entertainment book via Mousesavers. I booked our room at the RPH through Entertainments website. I did check my credit card and it has been charged and paid in full.
