Well, we've officially signed up for DVC...200 points at SSR...they have our downpayment. ::yes:: I'm so excited! Can't wait for the paperwork to get here.

The kids have *no* idea, so I thought I would try to figure out a way to surprise them at Christmas. Any thoughts? We won't be vacationing there til at least June. The three year old won't really get it (though he definitely wants to go see Mickey)...but the 5 and 9 yo have been to WDW enough times to realize how special DVC will be for us!

Maybe I should buy some park hoppers and hide them on the tree?

Hi,

Congrats!!! Ask your guide for ideas. They might have the perfect surprise!! Good luck!

Hi Katie....
Congrats & Welcome Home ! :Pinkbounc
As far as suprising the kids---it is kind of difficult when it's nothing they can really touch/hold at Christmas. Maybe you can make a collage of family pics and pics of SSR (I'm sure you can find some on the web). You could do it up with scrap book supplies like fancy paper, stickers and other embellishments ? Then enclose a note with Disney dollars that they could spend on their first trip "home". The youngest one might do better with a Disney beanie or something ? You could also add Disney coloring books or a music CD/tape/VHS tape and put everything in a big box and under the tree ? This idea might be corny, but it's all I could think of right now. Have fun !
PS--I do believe I hit 500 posts tonight :hyper:

We knew someone who gave each child their own carry-on bag with airplane things to do and Disney Dollars, and mouse ears etc. Each child was told to open their gifts at the same time. They were all a little disappointed until they saw the Disney stuff inside!
