We will be staying in a one bedroom at SSR for the holidays. I need to know if I need to bring plates, silverware, and cups? Also, if I want to cook breakfast (doubtful but just in case) do they provide a skillet? I was under the impression that everything would be there but I want to be sure so I can bring it if I need to.

The kitchen should be fully equipped--pots/pans/skillets, plates, silverware, coffee maker, cups/glasses, serving bowls/platters, etc.

All you provide is the food and drinks!

I'm sure someone can point you to the website that has everything listed.

Thanks OlderMan. That's what I thought.

Have you stayed at SSR? I was there one time right after it opened but in a studio not a one bedroom. We stitched to SSR from 2 rooms at AKL due to the $$ we'd save and I'm hoping we made the right choice.

In a one-bedroom (and larger) villa, you'll also have a washer & dryer in the room with you. So you can plan on packing less clothes.

Mousekeeping will provide one use of Tide, but you may want to take additional detergent if you plan on doing more than one load.

We stayed in a one-bedroom unit at Wilderness Lodge earlier this month, and there was even a cookie sheet in the room.

As stated, all you need do is provide the food, and anything additonal that you may need like salt, butter, cooking spray (I used parchment paper to make Pilsbury cinnamon rolls), things like that.

MinnieSummer,

We stayed at SSR about 3 years ago in a 1 BR villa. I forget the name of the area we were in, but we were across from DTD, and near one of the "neighborhood" pools.

I must admit, the villa was smaller than what I expected, but we've owned at OKW for almost 12 years. OKW has the largest villas in DVC.

Nothing wrong with the villa, just more "efficient" use of space for the kitchen/dining room/living room area.

Relax and enjoy!
