Is a 2 bedroom villa at SSR worth a $1000 upgrade over 2 rooms at POR RR? Is the transportation system the same at both? I understand you get a kitchen and more space with SSR and I think it counts as a deluxe, but transportation and travel time on the bus is my biggest concern. They both look like they have nice pools. Thanks.

Both are real nice. Both bus systems imho are a 3 outta 10. Very long waits. Ssr has many stops. Por bad going to parks medium coming back and horrible returning from fantasmic. Both main pools at ssr are real nice. The one by the Springs is better. Por main pool w/ slide is very nice too. What i would do is save the 1000 and use that towards goodies n tips for meals n stuff. Good luck with your choice.

Thank you. Looking forward to going...just need to decide on where to stay! lol. :)

We love both resorts. The bussing is an issue for us at both resorts...it seems to be slow at times.

$1000 is a big chunk of change.
Some thing s that might or might not matter to you...
-The pools are better at SSR (we love the pool at POR, too.)
-The community room at SSR is fantastic. (games, activities, crafts, toys, etc..)
-You will have a kitchen at SSR.
-You will have a washer and dryer in your room at SSR.
-The food court options are much better at POR.

Everyone forgot two bathrooms. I believe the POR bus's to be better but at any time you can have problems at any resort. Depending where they put you but SSR could be some long walks.

Thank you. I think I will just go with POR then and get the new royal rooms. We still get 2 bathrooms bc we need two connecting rooms for the 6 of us. My DD will like the princess theme in POR and it is her birthday while we are there anyway. I don't want to spend more on SSR if the bus service isn't a real improvement. All I care about is getting to the parks! Lol Thanks for your help.

We have stayed at POR many times and we love it. We decided to try SSR during Christmas time last year and we felt POR bus transportation and food court was better.

I hope you have a blast no matter which resort you choose.:)

Thank you! Ended up booking at POFQ because it was the only place they would guarantee connecting rooms. I am happy though. It looks nice and like a great place to celebrate our first time at WDW. My older kids are excited about the slide and it was less money than SSR which made hubby happy! :) Thank you again for your help.

You will love Port Orleans! POFQ is small and easy to get around and is the first stop for the bus. Two resorts in 0ne. The food court is small but gets the job done and it is a 5 min. walk to POR along the river for more selections in their food court Bob in the lounge a little biger pool, night time movies-campfire. Walk around and see what the place is like. Don't forget the boat to DTD.

Congrats on your decision and most of all have a WDW day!

Not A big fan of pofq it's a lot smaller than port orleans riverside and only has 1 pool & no table service restaurant. If you have your heart set on either saratoga or port orleans because it's closer to downtown disney and I would suggest just keeping it . but if not, for around the same price as port orleans french quarter I would definitely recommend coronado springs. By far the best pool of all the moderates. Pepper markef is awesome & best bus serviceon property. U mentioned your older kids would lo e POFQ pool. I'm not sure how old they are , but thepool there is a lil on the small kiddish side.
