We are going for 4 days/3 nights next week with Saturday being a resort day. We can't decide between SSR or CR with Thursday being Epcot, Friday Magic Kingdom, Saturday resort day, and Sunday Magic Kingdom.

We love the CR for the access to MK but also love SSR for the access to Disney Springs. What would you do in this situation? We stayed at Bay Lake in October so we know what to expect with food and activities but have never stayed at SSR.

Given your planned park days, I would choose CR. The only thing that would change my mind would be the locations of your ADR's (if you have any). Our family stays frequently at OKW and POFQ just for the easy boat access to Disney Springs. We eat a lot of our dinners there and tend to find ourselves there during any of our breaks from the parks. We love the shops, dining, and entertainment that Disney Springs has to offer. For us, we would rather have a little bit longer of a bus ride to the parks and be closer to Disney Springs but I could easily see how someone would want to be close to MK.

When are you going? SSR is currently being renovated and is about halfway done. Preferred locations have been completed but the standard locations will be hit or miss, not to mention the disruption of construction in the area. Also, if you’re considering a day at the pool, the Paddock pool slide is getting a facelift. The work there will involve closing a bridge that connects parts of the resort, requiring guests to take an internal shuttle bus. Given those factors, CR would win by default in my book.
