I had the opportunity to visit the SSR site this morning (sunny and 40 degrees!).

The first building looks great and the exterior scaffolding is down and landscaping is progressing nicely. There is a decorative gazebo with fountain near the lake in front of the building. It appears that the GV's will have one small balcony- off either the dining area or master bedroom.

The fireworks viewing platform is taking shape and the whole area is coming along in good shape.

The foundation work for buildings 5 and 6 is far along and work has begun for #7-12 also.

The High Rock Pool looks great- the slide and zero entry area are clearly evident. Nearby, the sales area seems to be well under rehab and work is being completed on the exterior of the Spa and check-in areas.

Doc,

You didn't use the hardhat and safety vest again did you?;)

You didn't use the hardhat and safety vest again did you?

Well ... it was pretty quiet around there this morning, with the marathon underway ... :teeth:

I could have taken a dip in the pool if it had been a little warmer, as it seemed that all of the lifeguards were off duty! :smooth:

Can`t wait to see more. I just got my confirmation letter yesterday for the week after Thanksgiving!

Looks great. I don't know if we can wait for our December trip, maybe a short trip this summer is in order!

Thanks for the great photos, Doc! Can't wait! And even 40 degrees sounds good to our 10!!

More thanks here - I always look forward to your photos. It is looking good!

Once again, excellent reconnaisance work! (We're sending you out to look for Osama.) Thanks so much for sharing the pictures and braving the cold to do it --- the crisp clean air made for very sharp photos. ;)

Do you know what the buildings are near the pool? They don't look like villas -- maybe the spa?

Great pictures! I will have to take a little walking tour when I visit in May. Thank you for posting!:)

Thanks for the updated pictures - can't wait for our first trip home.

:D

The Spa is the blue building behind the slide. The building with the red roof is the front desk area and the building in between those is Artist's Palette. The buildings to the left of the Spa will be the new sales center (or that's my understanding). The Performance Center (Auditorium) is behind the camera in the photos of the pool. It seems that one area of the green barricade was left wide open by the workers and provided convenient access to the entire area- much closer than prior photos.

Doc, Thank you SOOOOO Much for these pics! I've been working a ton of overtime and getting really burned out but the thought of being at my HOME of SSR in less than 6 months is making me smile right now! Thanks for the pick me up!

So Doc, do you carry credentials or something identifiable with you when you shoot? Something that stops them from sailing you back to DTD?

DOC,

It almost looks like there may be rooms without balconies. Is that possible or do you think those are the GV and thats why you mentioned they will only have a small balcony?

Thanks for the pictures-I love that gazebo in front of building #1. Do you know yet what views will be offered(I'm wondering specifically about a golf course view like OKW has)? With 8 buildings, is it really spread out? My first thought was of a very delux POR, which I loved.
