SSR/TVH or SSR/AKV or other

Just starting to think about our next trip trip and debating on where to stay. We own at SSR and DH wants to stay in the one bedroom there for part of the trip no matter what. He loves SSR. The second part of the trip is up to me. We like doing split stays. We have stayed at OKW, AKV, and GCV thus far.


The trip will be about 12 days total with 2 days on (park days) one day off to enjoy the resort(s), rinse, lather, repeat. We will also do a water park day.

As of right now I am trying to decide between:

1/2 the time at SSR and the other in the THV, which I know is SSR but a totally different vibe.

or

1/2 the time at SSR and the other at AKV with a savannah view which we have done before and loved.

or

1/2 the time at SSR and the other half? ​

We are thinking December which makes some resorts harder to get into the others. Of course I will reserve the SSR at the 11 month mark and go from there.

I voted other because if you are going at Christmas time I would try for BCV or BWV for the decorations and to try a new resort. We did AKV this past Christmas and it didn't really have the decorations that we hoped for.

If you are going to move villas, go to another resort. If you want a THV reserve that for your SSR portion. So it would THV/AKV Kidani.

I like that idea but DH wants to stay at SSR not necessarily the THV. He doesn't "get them" like I do. One part of the trip will be at the traditional SSR and then we will change for the other part. I kinda think that changing to the THV will be like changing resorts as they have a totally different vibe. He fell in love with SSR and thankfully so as I didn't even think DVC was in our cards.

We stayed Jambo and loved it. Tell me about Kidani.

I have done a little points research and it looks like this might be the best option points wise too. First half would be BWV and the second at SSR.
