SSR Treehouses

Anyone know if the Treehouses will have their own buses. We are going to be staying at SSR the first week in June and I think the Treehouses will be open by then. I remember when OKW(since '92!) shared buses with the old Treehouses and it was a pain in the neck. It took forever to get to and from where you wanted to be.

Everything I've heard is they will share busses with SSR and will have its own bus stop.

Ugh, that will make the loop around the resort really long. It already takes a good 10 to 15 minutes from first to last stop at SSR. Well, I'll guess we'll see how it all works out. We might be doing more driving to the parks.

Does anyone know for certain whether THVs will be first or last on bus route ? I'd think that at least in one direction (inbound or outbound ) THVs would be first stop before rest of SSR bus stops.

When I was there last week I stopped in at the sales center to see the "dollhouse" model, and there was a map on the wall. It shows there will be 2 bus stops within the THVs.

Wow, thanks for posting the map! I'm curious to hear the stories of the bus runs and views and how everything flows over in the THVs! I'm excited about having one booked, but I just hope we don't get one so far back at the very end of the resort. It';s crazy, but it's a chance we have to take.

I wonder if bell services will ride the golf carts around the THV area to take guests over to the CH and other places if needed too. They were so cool about driving us and other guests around SSR on our last trip. They even drove us over to DTD once via the walkway to DTDWest.

I doubt anyone knows for certain (and it could change) but given the locations, I think you can assume THV will be first starting with the stop closest the entrance then the one in the back followed by Grandstand and so on. That likely means no additional "internal" bus for THV over to the main portion of SSR. I wonder if the boats will stop both way each time? I'm not sure if they can do that and keep the same schedule, we shall see.

We took the DVC tour two weeks ago (and bought) and we were told by our guide that the THV will have an internal bus that takes you up to the main bus stop of SSR.

I'm a little confused. Does this mean that there will be an internal bus at THV that will take you to a SSR bus stop where you wait for a park bus to come? This would be a wait to wait model. OR are you saying that there will be an internal bus to take you to the main SSR building so walking distance is reduced AND park buses stoping at THV as well?

I still think renting a car will be a must when you're in a THV.

I agree - renting a car will be the only sane thing to do!!! Even before THV we were slightly annoyed with the waits for the buses at SSR. We SSR and we were at Disney so no big deal - but that made our decision to rent a car from then on!

Much like OKW and to a degree, SSR and AKV.
