I know Saratoga Springs does not open until mid May, but is there a model open there that we can view when we go down to the World in a little over a week? I have been trying to talk DH into buying DVC for over a couple of years now. He's decided that he'd like to take a look at SSR, but wasn't sure if we could when we go. Thanks for any info.

Yes....it is right on the Boardwalk. DVC has booths all over the place . Just stop by a booth and they can set a time for you. You should do it the first few days your there so there is no rush when your vaca is over. We were down for New Years and just signed our papers last week!

If you stop by one of there booths you can set up an appointment with them and they will arrange transportation for you. They will pick you up where you want and drop you off where your going. On Disney property.

Thanks for the info. Dh is wondering now, instead of seeing the model, is it possible to actually see something at SSR? I know we will go see the model at BWV, but I think he would like to take a look at SSR too while we're down there.

I don't believe they have the property configured to allow for visitors right now. There is a lot of ongoing construction and they certainly don't have the necessary barricades required to allow for pedestrian traffic.

You can get a great view of the under-construction resort buildings from Downtown Disney. The exterior construction on building #1 is basically completed.

 Here's an idea for ya! Go over to DTD and rent a watermouse to get a closer look SSR. That's probably the closest you might get for now.

Have fun on your trip.

We saw SSR from DTD last week, and the model over at the Boardwalk. It looks beautiful. We bought there!! The transportation from DTD over to BWV was nice, and going back we got the "special treatment". The person driving us was Mike, and he had his White Bus that was built in the 30's and used to be in service in Yellowstone out. So we got to ride in that! Definitely go to DTD to see the outside of SSR; if you like what you see there's a booth in DTD to arrange transportation and stuff for the tour.
