My mom and I are going to Disney May 23rd for a quick weekend trip and got a studio at SSR. Which are should I request? I've heard some not great things about the bus service, so does it help to be at the Grandstand and be the first off? Or would it be better to be near the last bus stop? We've never stayed here so all advice would help. Thanks!

Springs is the last stop and is the closest to the rock pool, check in area, store, restaurant, etc. This bus stop can be crowded because many people walk over to the store, etc and then catch the bus from there. Also, because it's the last of 5 stops, the buses are sometimes full if you are going at peak times of the day.

Congress Park is the section that provides views of DTD and it's the 4th bus stop. This is probably my favorite section. It is a nice quiet pool and the walk to Springs where all the action is is maybe 5 minutes. We've never had any problems getting a seat on the bus from here. This is the quickest walk to DTD of about 10-15 minutes if that is in your plan.

Paddock is the 3rd bus stop and has the new feature pool and counter service.

Carousel is 2nd stop and least favorite section because it's the farthest from Springs and there is no pool.

Grandstand is first and has a pool and childrens splash area.

I have stayed in all but Carousel. Springs is my least favorite because of the crowded bus stops and if you get close to the end where the bus stop/pool is, it's noisy sitting on the balcony. I don't hate it there but given the choice, I'd take another section. I've been happy in all of the other sections and didn't think any was that much better or worse than the other.

Pakey is correct but my favorite spot is the Springs, stayed there a few times. Being close to the pool, dining and everything else SSR offers makes it very convenient. We've never had any problems with the busses so I cant speak to that issue, but they can get crowded. We were never affected by noise so that also was not an issue for us. The walk to DTD is about fifteen minutes (brisk walk) through the golf course bringing you out at Cirque. Very nice walk. Good Luck and I don't see you going wrong with any selection.

My only trip to SSR I also stayed in Springs in a studio. We were on the third floor facing the water with a beautiful view.

The only issue we found with the buses is that is the drop-off point for THV as well, so it could get somewhat crowded at peak times, so we always tried to travel at off-peak times and it worked beautifully.

We were in the grandstand with my elderly in laws and it definitely worked in our favor. I would recommend it so long as it doesn't bother you that you have a bit of a walk to the main lobby, restaurants and main pool. There's a quiet pool and splash pad by it.

We prefer the Grandstand with a golf course view. I like the first on and first off aspect as well as the quietness once I got back to my villa. It is a walk to the Carriage House but only took us about 5-7 minutes so we didn't mind. We also could walk to DtD ending up on by Disney Quest pretty easily. Of course I would suggest the boat but we wanted to try the walk :)
