SSR Room locations

When we stayed at SSR in Sept 04 we had a room that was partly accessible. It was a 2 bed lock off. It was in Congress Park, the building nearest to the main resort area and furthest from DTD, but still just a 7-10 min walk to DTD. The studio bathroom was accessible as was the 1 bed kitchen. It was on a high floor. We actually had to move because DD then 16 months could reach everything in the kitchen (including controls on cooker and the coffee pot) because it was lower and the trash etc was exposed rather than in a cupboard to create room for a wheelchair to turn. It was a great room with a fab view of Cirque. Had it not been for our little one taking advantage of the 'accessibility' of the kitchen appliances etc we would have happily stayed there.

You will have a GREAT time wherever you are. If you are on the ground floor you might see rabbits and ducks from your patio. Don't know how old DS is, but that might be fun.

I don't think many of the rooms have car park views, many seem to face lakes or DTD. I think the car parks are generally on the side of the buildings where there are no balconies.

Thanks Mandy, DS is 20 and other DS is 15 so rabbits might still be ok (they have two) but the ducks might not be such of an attraction now :rotfl: thats good re the room locations I was so worried we would end up with a patio facing a car park or the main road . He can't do anything (broke his neck a couple of years ago) so I am really consious of him being bored. even having something to look at whilst having a cool drink is nice .
