SSR resales going cheap

on the resales section of this site. How come DVC sells them for 95.00 a point and folks are trying to sell them for 78.00 a point. That's quite a loss, isn't it?

Don't forget Ronno, $78 per point also means your own financing, and closing costs. With the $10 off the price for phase II that does bring the price from DVC down to $85..much closer to that $78 you have seen. Believe me if DVC thought that $78 was too good a deal, ROFR would step in and take over quickly.

Most likely the members selling them bought in at $79.00 pp. Not a huge loss.

In addition, the early buyers at SSR only paid $79 per point- just a year ago. If they were CM's they paid even less than that.

If they were able to use their original points for a trip, they may still come out ahead- even with a broker's commission.
