I have not checked resale prices all that much recently. I saw SSR in the low $60s and one or two at $58 that passed on ROFR thread.............WOW. I have enough pts and if I get more I will add to my BCV for the booking window. But with BLT at $120pt and going to $130 (I think) that is almost half the price. If you don't need the booking window I just can't see paying almost double and SSR MFs are very reasonable.

I personally really like SSR and the treehouses are fairly hard to get. Now I will admit I prefer the EPCOT area and have started building my BCV pts, but when I see SSR resale and low MFs it just makes it a struggle. I'm a big bang for the buck guy!

Just found it interesting to see those prices. I have a feeling AKV prices will start free falling soon as it is a huge resort and higher MFs.

I adore SSR. It's so tempting to add more points - but I just bought 75 from the Timeshare Store so I must refrain myself.

I'm hoping with the new Wyndham changes coming soon that I may be able to squeeze an extra trip in at SSR that way.

I have noticed AKV prices dropping. Saw $62 a point! It was pretty stripped of points but still an amazing deal! I've actually been tossing that around with the OKW ones I'm looking at.

Still learning with the DVC thing. So how would this work to add on to points we already have at SSR?

I wish I could afford to buy more points right now! That sounds like such a great opportunity. I love SSR and I've wanted to stay at the treehouse sometime in the future as they look amazing. Thanks for the heads up!

When we've added SSR points on through the Timeshare Store we kept our same use year, August. The closing agent had us note our DVC membership number in our closing documents and that way DVC Member Services was able to keep everything together under one membership. Note: Make sure any resale add-on purchase is titled exactly the same as your original DVC purchase.

Some people have multiple memberships with different use years, but I'd never be able to keep track of it so we kept it simple and kept ours the same use year and titled the same to keep it as one membership.

I echo what littlestar stated, that is pretty much how I did our resale add-on. Do some searches and read what other have done or questions asked. I have used both the timeshare store (sponsor listed on the boards) and ***************. Jason at TS store and **** at ********* are both nice, easy to work with and will help you through the process.

The one recommendation I have is be aggressive and set in your mind what you want ahead of time. Then don't be afraid to make offers even if you feel it is a low ball - this is what I would consider a strong buyers market. All they can do is say no then counter offer. I have not seen ROFR used on SSR since Jan according to the ROFR thread here is the link http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1960185

With that being said don't be surprised if you are very aggressive and get ROFR by Disney - this happened to me on 2 BCV and 1 BWV contracts. However, there is a gluttony of SSR resales and I would be surprised to see that ROFR unless it is just silly low. Maybe someone from the TS Store will pipe in on their assessment of the situation.
