SSR request advice

hi all

we've booked our first trip for this September and are staying at Sarotoga springs in a one bed, I know requests are not guaranteed but for those of you who have been what do you request and why.

Grandstand would put you close to the Carriage House (check-in, restaurants, shops) and is the first stop (of five internal stops) for Theme Park buses.
Congress Park is closet to the bridge over to Disney Springs (DTD).

We liked our stay in the Springs section. Very close to Carriage House and main pool. If I went again, I would request Congress Park due to its proximity to Disney Springs.

Last Aug and this Aug we stayed at SSR and requested Congress Park both times (and got the request both times). That way we could walk across new bridge to DtD. Loved it. But the pool isn't anything special so if you're looking for more from the pool area, go for a different section.

We favor "Grandstand close to pool." It's a good pool, short walk to the main building, and we like being the first stop for pickup and drop off. We won't be standing in the morning pick up runs. The new pool/restaurant area at The Paddock has too little shade, too many bees and too many small children. Not cranky about that, I just hate being forced into lifeguard mode for all the kids not being watched closely by their parents. Our second choice would be The Springs. We don't walk to DTD/Disney Springs much but we'd choose it if we thought we were going to.

Grandstand for the reasons listed above, especially for the buses. We have really liked Congress Park lately and request a lake view. Love to walk over to Disney Springs and this puts us the closest. Springs is great for location, but I do NOT like being the last bus stop for the parks! Would find ourselves standing or too many scooters have caused the bus to fill and so we needed to wait for the next bus. Springs, you can easily walk to the Paddocks pool and food as well as the carriage house/main area. Paddocks and Carousel are not too bad, but they are farther away from the carriage house (main area). I also always request near the bus stop.
