What area of SSR would you suggest? We have a 2BR for two weeks and would like a quiet location (no buses going by!), a water view would be great! We will have our own car so do not want/need to be buy any bus stops. TIA

I am not a big fan of SSR, its not my style, but the Grand Stand (I think that's what it was called) was nice when we stayed on Developer Points. It was tucked away from the other areas, but you could still walk back to the main area.

My only complaint from this section was every morning the busses would park in the parking lot, idling, until they started taking guests. Lets be honest, the busses are not all that quiet and sitting out on your balcony in the morning hearing the rumble of them is not the best scenario.

Otherwise, the building itself was very quiet.

I don't recall it being noisey any of the times I've stayed there. I usually stay in the Congress Park section, building 15 I belive. And even though the bus stop is across the street I don't hear the buses! Now I also ask for a view of DTD so my room isn't facing the bus stop.

Another time I stayed in the Springs, building 35. The room had a water view and again, I never heard any noise from the bus stop.

Hope this helps.

I can't think of anything more peaceful and relaxing than the Treehouse Villas and they require the same amount of points as the 2 BRs. GO FOR IT. :thumbsup2

Just about anywhere at SSR will be peaceful.:cloud9:

I think the 2 far Grandstand buildings may seem the most quiet in terms of other SSR resort activity. (I did notice a bit of general "white" noise from DTD when on the balcony) Those 2 buildings just have views of the golfcourse / river to THV/OKW and the forest that is now THV (and now possibly the walking path from THV?) instead of other SSR areas that may have views of other SSR buildings...

Many of the villas at Congress Park have great water views (DTD) and are very quiet. They only thing we noticed is a fair amount of foot traffic on the path outside our sliders (we were on the 1st floor). But we noticed no appreciable noise.
