SSR print

We FINALLY got our SSR print, the one we should have received when we booked last year and never did. We asked for it when we were staying at SSR last month and got it.
Anyway, now we want to get a frame for it and find that a standard frame is 11 X 14, and this print is 11 X 13! How did other people frame theirs, short of laying out the $$ to have it custom framed? I can't believe they didn't use a standard sized mat on these.

I agree - I couldn't find a standard frame that looked right with the 11 x 13 mat. I did love the SSR picture, so I ended up at Michael's Crafts and selected a custom frame. At that time, Michael's was running a 50% off special on custom frames so that eased the pain a little bit. I do have to say that it looks beautiful and once I got past the price, I'm glad that I did it! Actually, I'm admiring it as I reply to you!

O.K., here's what I did. Went to Michaels, they sell pieces to put together your own frame (they sell them in sizes starting at like 6" up to 20" I think, in "oak", black, silver, gold, and a mahogony, which looks nice with the color of the mat) Bought an 11 inch and 13 inch set (you get the two sides) and put the frame together. Then went to Hobby Lobby for a sheet of acrylic (11 x 14), and using my exacto knife, cut off an inch. (didn't see any acrylic at Michaels). It works perfectly! Good luck!

I just had a local frame shop make up a new matte that was a standard 11x14". Cost me about $12, but I was able to select a better color and they did the cutouts for both the resort image and the DVC imprint below. It's sitting in a $5 frame now.

I am glad that this was asked, I too was trying to find the elusive 11 x 13 frame. Like the idea of having a new matte made. Will probalby go and do that. Thanks to all!

Sounds like a new mat is the cheapest way to go (got to save $ so we can buy more points!), plus I like the idea of a better color. All of these are good suggestions, so thanks to everyone!
