What if any room requests might I consider when staying at Saratoga springs. I’ve never stayed there or even set foot on property there.

What if any room requests might I consider when staying at Saratoga springs. I’ve never stayed there or even set foot on property there.

The Preferred location booking category is the Congress Park and The Springs sections. Congress Park is near the walkway to Marketplace at Disney Springs and The Springs is the closest section to the Carriage House (check in, main pool and restaurants).

The Standard location booking category is the Grandstand, Carousel and Paddock sections. The Grandstand is the first bus stop for theme park buses and is the 2nd closest section to the Carriage House.

It really depends on whether you want to be close to Disney Springs (very close with preferred area i.e. Congress Park), or if you want to be near near Carriage House. If you have a car, it won't really matter, but if you don't and depend on the bus, it could add a lot of extra time waiting for them. SSR is spread out and some don't like this. We like Grandstand area (bldg. near their pool) as it is a short walk from bus and Artist's Palette. We also love Congress Park (costs more -preferred) as it is a short walk to Disney Springs and all there is to offer there. They have a very nice quiet pool as well. Pull up a map of SSR and you will see the areas and pick out 1 or 2 things important to you for location.

The pool at Congress Park is just a leisure pool, no slide, no beverages/food available there. Springs is very close to the main pool with Artist's Palette (upscale counter service for the resort). This pool has an elaborate slide. Springs is rather centrally located and has the last bus stop for theme park buses.
