I am sure this has been discussed already - but someone reassure me the other pools will be fine for my 10 year old DD while High Rock Springs is having maintenance.

We are heading down March 1 (pool maintenance starts on High Rock Springs 2/28. Still open - but not heated). Of course - this is going to be a "no park" visit - so we wanted all pool time. I called today and changed my request of location from Springs to Grandstand... and luckily I did call - because with the system issues of late - they no longer had my request in the computer. Again, not that big of a deal.

My only frustration is that the "timing" of my last three visits has resulted in pool maintenance each time. Argh. :) 2 years ago - it was the main pool at BWV. Notification too late to change to a different resort. Then last January it was pool maintenance at AKV. Again - too late to change locations - and we had concierge anyway... now this quick trip - pool maintenance at SSR. What's up with my pool luck?! :)

Oh well... maybe we will try pool hopping for the first time ever. We always talk about doing that, but never do. And since it is just me and my DD for the first two days - maybe we can check out the Poly or OKW or something.

I know it is no body's fault. Maintenance has to happen. I am just trying to stay positive and not let it bum me out. I was just looking forward to some relaxing girl time with my DD by the pool - with out the hassle of running around...

Hop to the Poly and watch the fireworks while swimming :) Then visit the water lagoon parade before heading back home :)

Also another great pool is the FQ, play there for a while then take the boat to DTD.

FQ is a great choice. I forgot about the boat over there too. We are only there 3 nights but get in very late the first night - and are not renting a car. So we really only have 2 days. I wanted it easy... but a boat trip to FQ or OKW might be very easy - and a fun adventure! :) Thanks!
Sue

Many times maintenance is delayed, so you may get there and find out they have not begun their work.

With no car I would take the boat to OKW, POFQ and Riverside.

I just received the notice this week for our stay that starts March 1 too. 2 yrs ago we had the same thing happen to us at SSR...notified us right before trip of closing. They put up big fences last time and did nothing for 2 weeks, then a little activity and they refilled it...also that time I think the extended the closed time too. In Oct at BWV the pool was closed too for part of our visit...
