SSR ....percentage sold?

Does anyone know approximately how much of SSR is already sold? We have 2 contracts at SSR and are going to be adding on again in the spring. I know they are not actively pushing it now so I was wondering. TIA!

I don't know how many SSR points DVD has left to sell to the general public. When DVD started adding the Treehouse Villas to SSR in January 2009, it added about 905,250 points to SSR's grand total. Through July 19, 2012, it has sold about 95.51% of those points, leaving it with about 40,000 unsold points just for those Units. However, I don't know how many points DVD has still left to sell from the 309 Units that comprise the rest of SSR. By the way, there are about 13,126,320 points in those 309 units.

Bottom line, I think DVD has a lot of SSR points it can still sell. If you want to add on at SSR, you probably won't have much difficulty in doing so.

i think SSR is technically "sold out" which means they will not actively push it, nor offer discounts or incentives.

but DVC is constantly re-acquiring inventory from ROFRs and foreclosures (as with all so-called "sold out" resorts) so they'll probably be able to help you if you prefer to buy direct.

Thanks, we bought 200 pts in 2009 and then another 40 in 2011. Hoping to do that every year or two til we get what we think is enough.

You can also buy some points at a different resort. Lots of people like having smaller contracts, then banking, thus gaining home resort advantage in multiple places.

We have two contracts at SSR; one is 200 pts, the other 300 pts. We have owned since '05 and haven't had a problem getting other resorts when we go in April.

You can buy all resorts direct, you just won't get any of the incentives currently being offered at AKV, BLT or Aulani.

While SSR is left out of the incentives, SSR also seemed to be left out of the last round of price increases, too

You can like get almost twice as much from resale as direct on SSR.

If you cant add on more points to ssr maybe try akl? I own at akl and my wifes parents own at ssr. We stay with them at ssr all the time . I honestly feel that akl is similiar to ssr. The bus times are about the same and if your walking from some parts of the resort it can take a little while.

I would think they have ssr points for sale though.
