SSR Paddock Pool Refurbishment

It appears that the construction for the Paddock's pool is still on schedule. Mousesavers has posted actual dates of closure for the construction. I know there were rumors it might be on hold, but this seems to contradict it.
As listed in Mousesavers Newsletter "Paddock Leisure Pool (Saratoga Spring Resort) closed 12/3/10-6/29/11 for refurbishment."

The new theme pool/counter service location will be great for SSR and many of the complaints about overcrowding at the Springs and even give Carousel some services nearby!

That's great news. I am surprised with the start/end date. I would have thought they would have started a little earlier so they could finish before the warm weather sets in. We'll be there in March and I'll be curious to see their progress.

I think it's horrible that they would not preform pool work during the off season. I really think this will cause some unhappy customers for Disney

Isnt Dec through March considered off-season??? Yes - its going to be some of the spring/summer season, but at least its not April through October!

Yesterday we printed out a copy of our reservations for our May 2011 trip to SSR. A note on the bottom stated that the main pool (High rock Springs) would be closed for refurbishment during our stay! That means the Grandstand and Congress Park pools will be full to the brim!!

We contacted member services to confirm that the pool would be closed for refurbishment. With that in mind, we switch resorts for the May 2011 stay.

As already mentioned, this is during the off season. Not to mention it is a quite pool, so they are not used nearly as much. I think it is more important that they will have the second fully theme'd pool open before the very busy/extremely hot time of year when the pools are used the most.
