SSR Owners You've Got Info

Bad news is that the member site is down. Good news is that SSR seems to be the most complete section of the DVC resorts and you can access it without going through the member site.

www.disneyvacationclub.com and then select SSR. It has shots of the pool under the virtual tour, a very nice map of the resort under directions. I think it is probably of interest to all those waiting to head "home" to SSR.

Hey Pam -- Thanks! I couldn't pull up shots of the pool, but did notice some new info -- like details about the Turf Club, etc. Sounds very cool. I wasn't able to get the virtual tour to work last night. Will try again now.

Just tried again -- still unable to pull up either the rooms or the pool section of the virtual tour under SSR. I am jealous, Pam! How did it look?

The pool looks very nice. The Virtual Tour seems to be a bit sensitive. If you give it some time it may work for you, too. I clicked on "the pool" and got a blank colored screen....waited a bit (30+ seconds)....clicked on the resort room photo and in a few seconds the pool came up. After that I was able to select all the photo options.

Thanks Pam. I tried again, but still no luck. Oh well. Perhaps they will fix it soon. Or someone else will post pictures after the open house later this week.

I just got it to come up for me. However, I don't think those are pics from our pool. One looks like the original artist's rendering and the others that come up are too close up to tell where they are from, just kind of generic pics of people enjoying the pool area. Maybe I didn't get the same pics you were looking at Pam...I had to let the virtual tour play all the way thru before it would let me see anything. Guess we'll have to wait util someone comes back soon for some current pics.

I haven't had any problems with the site. I loved the VWL Virtual Tour. Maybe its an issue with people's connections?

Ah heck. I have now tried on three different computers and can't make the virtual tour for SSR progress past the intro. It gets to the Guest Rooms section and freezes. No idea what I am doing wrong; but KKMAUCH seems to think I"m not missing much, so I guess I won't worry about. I'll just wait and see the real thing!

I know what you mean about it being sensitive. Took me three tries to see the pool pics in the virtual tour but I finally got in. Thanks Pam.

Whew! I had to really work to get the tour to work -- and I still couldn't get all the smaller options (like the pool) to work. I did finally get to see the pool. KK, I agree that the pictures of the kids in the water are most likely not the SSR pool (heck they've got what we think is PO in the OKW tour). The picture of the pool does appear to be the artist's rendering.

I found that if you wait until the music stops playing before you click on the pool pictures or other selection, you can get in. Otherwise, it just freezes.
