SSR Owner Reservation Start Date?

poohj80- I believe you cannot book for another resort until your resort is ready for ownership, meaning you can book now but only for trips from May forward.
The $10 a point was just a discount offered, it does not affect when you can book.
The old Magical Beginnings program was a discount but you had to lose your first use years points. With SSR it was just a discount, no sacrifice on our parts

Dr. Tomorrow- your thread has enabled us to have two less phone calls to compete with on Dec.1 So once again all those that want to make ressies for another resort using SSR points go ahead do so now and we will have less phone traffic on Dec. 1

I swear we were told that there was a restriction on not booking until after June if we accepted the discount, but maybe that's the same thing as when the resort is open which isn't until June. We were hoping for a trip in mid May but assumed we'd have to pay for this trip instead of using points. Now I'm thinking maybe not after reading this thread but guess I need to go home and read our documents again.

Received a letter from DVC today regarding opening of SSR.

1A-1Q is still May 17th
2A-9A is now June 7th

Reservations requests for SSR will begin Dec 1st at 9AM Eastern.
