The big gripe here shouldn't be about SSR it should be that DVC let greed get the best of it.

I would like to see a poll with the following question.

If you were not a DVC owner, and won a contest that would give you a 200 point dvc contract, good for 50 years, which resort would you ask to be your "home".

In this example we have taken the cost to buy in, and the 12 years EXTRA out of the situation. We are simply looking at resort X vs Resort Y.

So which would you choose?

I'm being totally honest here I would still pick SSR, for a lot of the reasons op would not pick it.. Mostley I love the location. and the pools.

Variety is the spice of life, that is why I answered to try all the other resorts and then stay for most of the time at SSR. Im sure most members will at some time or other try resorts other than their home, I suspect only time will tell, and when a new resort is built the same cycle of questions wil probably arise, or perhaps I am wrong.

SSR every time, - because that is our "Florida House", or at least that is what my kids call it!

Wow!!! Really Goofy Daddy, where did you dig up this fossil of a thread from??? Anyway, I guess it is relevant to some of the threads that have been started lately. I have only been twice as a DVC member. Once to SSR and once to OKW. I will be at OKW at the end of February. Not because I like it more, but because the studio has two queen beds in it. I wish more DVC studios had a room of this type. If SSR had queen beds in their studios, I probably would just stay there all the time. I like my Saratoga Springs!!!

I see this thread was started in March of '06, but my answer then is the same answer today. I am STILL staying at OKW most of the time. In fact, I'm getting ready for an add-on there.
