SSR or OKW Location Requests? How Did You Do?

For those who have requested a specific location at SSR or OKW, have you gotten your request granted? Or, have you checked into your villa and been unhappy and needed to change rooms? Were you able to do it? TIA

We keep our room requests simple. At OKW, we just ask to be near turtle pond. We're always happy with what we've gotten.

At OKW, I've requested to be near Hospitality House. It worked once and didn't work the second time. It seemed like the sooner the reservation, the better your chances but it could be a roll of the dice, crowd levels, etc. The first time that didn't work, I booked in December for February. The second time that did work, I booked in August for January.

As a side note, at SSR, I didn't make a request and got Congress Park, which was quite nice.

We were just at SSR in Oct/Nov and requested Congress Park, near pool, and got exactly what we wanted.

Last March, it was just me and my DS19. I requested Cong. Park or Springs, and we got Carousel . It was just plain AWFUL way out there. I can't even tell you how bad it was. Way too far from the main building, they need to have another small shop where you can get milk, juice etc. when you're stuck way out that far. I'll never stay at SSR because of this stay, ever again.
