SSR on NYE

I remember someone had mentioned that you can watch fireworks from SSR on NYE looking to DTD. Can anyone confirm?

We'll be having an early dinner at Fulton's, but not paying the $99 for Pleasure Island. What is there to do at DTD on NYE?

We did NYE last year.
They had a DJ at the pool that is in the Congress Park area. At a few minutes before midnight, the whole group moved over to the area along the water, which is pretty much directly across from Pleasure Island. The fireworks are from there are right in front of you and you can also so the park fireworks off in the distance to the right as you face the water.
